SCUBA2MED1 - SCUBA cylinder to MEDICAL OXYGEN PIN Index Adaptor - 5/8" BSP DIN to O2 PIN Index

This adaptor has been developed to allow suitably OXYGEN CLEANED SCUBA cylinders with standard 5/8" BSP DIN to be converted for use with medical equipment such as DAN O2 Kits and other emergency medical Oxygen supply kit (regulators and masks).

The industry standard for medical oxygen kit is to use a PIN Index pillar valve which is a safety system with two holes below the outlet port set in specific positions so that only Oxygen kit can be connected to oxygen cylinders and no other - to prevent mistaken use of the wrong gas.

With this adaptor you can obtain Oxygen in an emergency from any suitable cylinder available.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: All SCUBA cylinders and cylinder valves MUST BE professionally OXYGEN CLEANED PRIOR TO FILLING. Take them to a dive centre for proper oxygen clean preparation.

This adapter is to be used only in case of emergency when a medical Oxygen cylinder is not available.

If you require an M26 version of this adaptor contact the factory on 01326 561040. Please note we also sell M26 to 5/8 converters (Code: AP8N) here ]
